The Badlands
Definitely the highlight of the day was driving through the Badlands.
One of many amazing views throughout the park
I warned them about the snakes before we went but they weren’t concerned.
Luckily no snakes were encountered!
I loved the flowers growing alongside this path.
Beautiful!

The snakes would be enough to keep me in my car! I’m glad your having a great time.
That last photo is amazing!
When I saw the first photo, my first thought was “Boy, I hope they checked the area for snakes before that photo.”
One of my mother’s sisters lived in the Badlands. Now, most of her children/grandchildren live in or around Wall, SD.
Love your pictures! Hope you all continue to have a great time.
Mary the Badlands are on my bucket list. I’ve always wanted to see them. Thanks so much for sharing your awesome pictures. I am a regular visitor on your “old” quilting web site and really enjoyed it. I hope you are still planning on sharing your quilting adventures and wonderful quilts! You have inspired me to start quilting (just 9 months ago now) and considering I’m 63 and newly retired I have a lot of catching up to do!! I hope you’ll still be there to help me make my way. ~LOL~

Found you. Beautiful pictures as always. I love the one with the sunflowers. Your new blog shows off your photos so nicely. And I really like the light green background with the flower pattern in the corner. Very nice!
YEP…the drive into the Badlands is AMAZING…our only time there we stopped to take a pic by the sign into the park…got all 4 of the little indians into the van and it wouldn’t start! UGH…so our trip thru the Badlands was with the mini-van towed behind a towtruck and all 6 of us crammed intio the tow truck! Not fun then but funny now! have fun!

I remember, as a child, seeing those incredible sights when we visited the Badlands. Made me realize how tenacious the pioneers were to keep going when they came upon those! Talk about a challenge!! And THEN they got to cross the Rockies!!
Lovely pictures of the Badlands, Mary! Have a fun and safe time.
