Working hard
I arrived yesterday around 5PM to find the HeartStrings group already hard at work and joined right in. I’m so impressed with these women – those of you who think I’m a productive quilter would be amazed at how much they accomplish.
I’ve been tying quilts left and right and just love it. I sit on a rolling seat and just scoot down the table as I’m tying — just like Jay taught me in Nebraska last May.
Here’s a photo of the pile of quilts both tied and quilted from yesterday and we added even more to it today.

Wow! That’s impressive.
There’s a lot of great looking quilts there.
Good grief, that’s amazing. How many ladies are there? Am I right in assuming all the tops and backs are ready, it’s just a matter of putting them together? And how much batting to you buy for a session like this???
That’s a picture to put a big smile on any quilter’s face!
Aren’t they beautiful?! Wonderful team work, and for such a good cause. Well done!
Great teamwork Ladies!!! there are some very lucky people going to get beautiful quilts!!
Fantastic! I can hear the laughter and chatter from here. Have a wonderful time and tell everyone “Hello” from Wyoming.
That’s great! Such a great charity you’ve got going there! Have a great trip! Jenn

Question:
I visited the May site and viewed you tying the quilts as I have never tied a quilt.
If the quilt lays flat on a table, how does the needle catch the layers of the quilt.
What type of knot is used.
I looked on your PDF instructions and did not find additional instructions. Thanks,
I would SEW!! Love to be there! I am still new to quilting but it has become a passion! I wish I could sit and do it all of the time. Can’t w/5 kids, a husband, 2 dogs, working, school, Karate Etc!!
I love getting to see your quilts they are always beautiful!
