Back to work

Keith left this morning so it’s time to get back to work. It seemed like I had plenty of time before the next trip but here it is Monday and I leave on Friday.

Today’s goals are to get some laundry done, hand stitch this last binding so I can ship quilts to Jay for his nursing home project,  and get everything off my kitchen counters so they can install my tile backsplash in the kitchen tomorrow.

I also have a quilt of Mom’s that I’m going to try and get done so I can take it back with me but I’ve got to piece a backing first so we’ll see.

We had snow again today — it’s a wet, melty snow but I love seeing it come down.

By the way, even though I haven’t had a chance to get something new started for the design wall – I’m thrilled that the Stars and Pinwheel top was finished this week and is no longer up there. My plan after these next two trips are to start one or maybe two new piecing projects.

  • Good job on all the progress. You do get quite a bit done even with your travels. I seem to be back on track for getting things going again and am very pleased.

    I miss snow…. snooooowww much!!!

  • Our “weather guesser” announced today: we will get rain soon and it will be snowing in Minneapolis.

Now, he said it was going to freeze last night, but I think it was lower 40′s. (Hence the reason we call him weather guesser.)

I know you love snow … I hope he is at least right about that.

  • Stars & Pinwheel is stunning. Love the photo of the snow, but would not really like to be in it! haha.

  • Please keep posting photos of snow, just don’t send the real thing my way.

  • Snow in October! Reminds me of all those times I had to wear heavy jackets over my Halloween costume….

  • Beautiful!!! Love the picture! We have been unseasonably cold and wet here too. Not much snow yet, but lots of rain and very cold temps. I like it! Great for staying indoors and sewing! The down side is the temps changed so fast that the trees haven’t had much of a chance to show their fall colors. *sigh*

  • Wow, the snow looks so pretty and serene. Thanks for posting. Hard to believe there are places that have snow right now. It’s about 47 degrees in Missouri today and raining. Happy sewing
