Veteran’s Day
On Wednesday, I was running around getting my quilts ready for my talk and getting Chesty to the Vet and didn’t have time to work on quilts to honor soldiers and veterans. Today however, I finished labeling, washing, and packing 6 quilts that will go to Fort Hood, the family of a soldier killed in Afghanistan, and to Alycia for her Quilt of Valor project.
I’m happy to have a way to show my appreciation for those that serve and to honor my father-in-law and my Dad who were both veterans.

That is so wonderful!! Good for you! They are going to love them!
Well done!

Look at that little Chesty in the photo again! Hey, that’s GREAT that you got so many quilts finished and sent off. I sent one to Ft. Hood this past Monday so hopefully it’s already there! And I’ve sent a few to Alycia also so looks like we frequent the same places.
This is wonderful Mary! All the quilts will be so greatly appreciated I’m sure. They just look so nice all stacked and ready to go! I see sweet Chesty over at the edge of the sofa—he must be home and feeling better?
What a blessing to the person who gets one of these quilts.
hugs!!!

I see Chesty’s like my cat, he likes to be involved and get his face in every picture LOL! They’re so cute, who can resist? Great achievement with the quilts too.
Hi Chesty! Peeping out. Lovely to see you. Love those quilts, what a wonderful Thanks they make.
I just wanted to tell you how much your quilts mean to so many people… My husband was injured in Iraq in Nov. ’05 and we received a few patriotic quilts from various people throughout his recovery at Walter Reed (and even a few fun quilts for our girls (now ages 2 and 4 months) as they were born!) and appreciated the gesture so much. Just wanted to let you know that although I was not able to get in touch with those who sent us quilts and thank them, that I did really appreciate it. I imagine it is the same for the recipients of your creations
