A wedding quilt AND a baby quilt
Or maybe a baby quilt and THEN a wedding quilt. I’m not quite sure the order I’m going to need these but I’m working on designing borders for the Stars & Pinwheels quilt to bring it up to queen size. So which do you like better?
Version A
Version B
And just in case you were wondering, it’s my son Adam and his girlfriend Lindsey who are expecting.

The first design grabs me. Congratulations! Will this be your first grandchild?
I like design B and congratulations!
Congratulations!!!! I think I like the first one better but they ar both great!
I like A. congrats on the grandbaby.
Congrats Grandma!! Don’t tell me it’s due in May… I’m due in May, my sister-in-law also, and my midwife has two due on the 22nd, one on the 25th and me on the 27th! Whew.
I like Option A, because the inverted background part on the brown blocks make an interesting border look.
I’m loving the first design!
Congratulations too

Congratulations to them and you, I like B.
I like “A” because of the movement of the stars into the border: it adds more movement and interest to the quilt.
I like the first one! I love the continuation of the stars into the border! Congrats on being a grandma too!

I like both but lean toward B! Congrats on having a baby to quilt for!
I like version A, because it has movement.
I like version B.
I like Version A! Congrats to you and your family!
Version B appears more “finished.”
Mary, there both lovely but I really like the first one. The stars pop in the border. Congratulations!
I like B. It seems more orderly to my eye.
I vote for A. First grand child, bet that makes you very happy!!!Early last week we rec’d a baby annoucement card, from a dear friend’s son …. then later that same week, the same son sent a wedding invitation. I’ll send baby and wedding gift together!
I like A……..Congrats on a wee one in the family . How is
Chesty doing, is he still having surgery on Monday ?
I prefer version a although they’re both great!
Congratulations Mary – what wonderful news. I like A – mostly because it’s different.
Version A seems to “twinkle!”
I like Version A cause it pops out more
Well congratulations Grandma! I had a heck of a time seeing the difference. ( I know, looks like I’m the only one who had that problem). I can’t decide WHICH one looks the best– both a just gorgeous. Can’t wait to see this one done up. What fun– sewing for a baby.
Congratulations!!!! Being a Gramma is the best!
Congratulations on your grandbaby! You are going to have so much fun with that little one!
I like version A the best because of the star points extending into the border. But they are both lovely, as usual with all your designs!
I like version A. Very cute. Congratulations!
Are you keeping a tally Mary! I vote for B. Congratulations on your grandbaby.
I vote for version A.
Congrats on your grandbaby, Mary! I like both patterns, but I will put a vote in for B.
Woo Hoo, a grandbaby. I like the first one.
I like A best but both are lovely. Congratulations on becoming a grandma. It is great fun.
Congratulations to you and your family! what wonderful news. I think I like them both; A if I must choose. Maybe you should make 2!
I like B because I think it gives it a cleaner look.
Version B just seems to “pop”. Congratulations on the baby blessing!
I love version A, Mary- I really like how they look like they are floating in the sky-
Congratulations on your upcoming grandchild. I hope that Lindsey is feeling well too.
Regards,
Anna
Both are great but I like the movement in A
Mary
Congratulations!!! It’s the best……….
I like both but would do “A” myself!
I like version A. A bit more funky and unexpected. And… you are going to ge a grandmother! Congrats to you and the expectant mom & dad!
I like version A…it really makes the quilt come to life. Congrats on the new grandbaby……this next phase of your life as a gramma will bring you more joy than you ever thought possible
)
Both settings are nice. Maybe version A if I have to decide. Congrats on being a grandma!
I like the 1st one best
b/c it’s something you don’t see a lot of. So wow, a grand baby on the way? and a wedding? sounds like 2010 is gonna bring lots of joy and happiness to your growing family
Congratulations! Love from Texas! ~bonnie
I vote for version A
Best wishes for everyone! I hope you’ll love being a grandparent as much as I do.
Although both versions of the quilt are cute, I’m drawn more to A. It looks as though they are using the same pieces, so no more work for one than the other.
I like A the best. Congratulations on having a new little person in your life to love soon. Just think… by this time next year you’ll help prepare for Santa!
Congratulations are in order. I hope mom and dad are fine and you’re going to be a grandma. I think I like version A better. There’s something aboout the points in the border that I find appealing.
Congratulations to you all. New babies in the family are such a blessing! Good health to Lindsey. Do you suppose you’ll make a baby quilt for every season! Ha.
Had to do a double-take because it was hard to tell quilts apart (Susan you weren’t the only one with that problem). My final choice is A. Like the points into the border–adds that special look. Believe they’d like either one tho. Congrats on the daughter-in-law and grandchild. Just too bad they live so far away. Babies grow so fast. It will be fun.
A huge congrats on the baby news!!!! That is so exciting!!
dawn
I like B alot better. Cngrats on the baby!
God makes a new Grandmother every time a baby is born. Welcome to the club. It’s the best job in the world.
