Another one of Pat’s tops quilted
This one a RWB HeartStrings and one of my favorites. After playing in my pantograph box this past week I was ready for some freehand fun so it’s quilted with a swirly version of Dwirling from the Pajama Quilter DVD.
I’m also still working on my brown centered HeartStrings blocks.

ooough that RWB by Pat is so pretty – those colors would look great in ANY home!
love the quilting on it too…
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
I’ve got to do that Dwirling technique on a quilt soon. I really love the texture it creates.
Pat’s quilt colors give off such a warm and cozy feeling. Great colors! I love what the Dwirling techniques did on the surface of this quilt. Nice quilting Mary!
You are incredible the way you just bang off these quilts AND the quilting is just stunning! Must be lovely to be able to do that! Also I’m loving your string quilt! The colours are gorgeous!
Take care!
Paulette
loving these rich autumn colors, and your quilting compliments as always
These are just stunning. I’m loving the brown centers, and the dwirling– well, I think you’ve taken the technique to a new level. Just love what you’ve done with the swirls, etc. I have the donation quilts– got them a while ago to try out your freehand Baptist Fans and some Dwirling ( yep, have the DVD and it’s nearly memorized. About the best DVD I’ve got) Now, if I just had you by my side while I did these. LOL– just kidding, but I WILL get time to do these quilts. Just a few more for customers, then I’m making a little time for myself, and to do some different designs, like these. Keep up the good work and inspiration– you’re my daily read.
The finished quilt is gorgeous and your quilting makes it look so snuggley and soft. I think I prefer the brown-centred blocks, but then the autumn colours are “my” colours anyway.
I love, love, LOVE the quilting that you did! I’m going to have to work up some courage and try something like that myself. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the swirly dwirling pantograph. Try saying that 3 times fast. And your brown HeartStrings is looking really nice too. Have a great quilting day!
I am lovin’ the brown center strips! This one looks so warm and inviting! Great for a guy. :~)
Mary, one of the things I like the best about the Heartstrings quilts is that you can use really old and out of date fabrics….just concentrate on the color palette and voila! A fabulously beautiful and artful quilt!
I haven’t been to your blog in a while – you sure have been busy! What wonderful quilts you donate; I’m sure they bring comfort and joy to the recipients.
Oh, Mary, I love that Dwirling swirly. It makes the quilt very inviting. Thanks for quilting that, I am very pleased. Love your brown centered strings. Those are definitely my favorite colors.
Love that quilting.
Also sending love and good wishes to Chesty – hope he is soon home and recovering from his op
That swirly quilting is so wonderful!
