Happy Thanksgiving!
After sleeping late (very, very late) I finally feel like I’ve caught up a little on my sleep. First up on today’s task list was to finish the binding on the donated top pieced by Helen (from Bonnie Hunter’s Orange Crush pattern).
I just love the texture the clamshell quilting gave to it. The pantograph is Improved Clamshell by Kathie James.
I’ve got a small turkey breast cooking and then I plan to make my Mom’s dressing and have a mini Thanksgiving feast. I’ll also start another set of blocks for our HeartStrings Holiday Block Party, set up another quilt for tying, and work on quilting my Aunt’s 2nd top.
I got a late start but it’s going to be a busy day! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

Happy Turkey Day Mary. You still amaze me with all you get done. Enjoy your day.
Happy Thanksgiving to you! How do you decide if you are going to tie a quilt or stitch it?
Happy TurkeyDay, Mary! Scratch Chesty behind the ears for me.
You really do get to quilt some very nice quilts. I may have to start quilting for others. Or, maybe not.
Beautiful quilt and perfect choice for quilt pattern! Hugs and scratches to Chesty … hope he gets a little turkey dinner, too! Happy Thanksgiving!!
Happy Thanksgiving to you too. The quilt with the orange is so striking…just beautiful.
Hope you had a good day yesterday. How is Chesty?
Love this Orange Crush quilt…and the quilting is marvellous!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Glad to see that Chesty is better. That Orange Crush is beautiful. I wonder if I could manage an over-all clamshell design on my domestic machine… It’s a big quilt.
I love how this one came out. Great Job, Mary!!
