Do you send Christmas cards?

Some years I do and some I don’t. This year the only ones I’m sending are these 6 postcards to the family members who do the monthly postcard exchange with me.

And when I walked out just now to put them in the mailbox it was snowing again! They’re calling for another 2-4 inches tonight and tomorrow.

Other than finishing the postcards the only other quilty thing I’ve done today is to piece a backing for a donated quilt. If I finish up on the computer and still feel motivated, I might just get a top loaded on the longarm before going to bed.

I was excited today to read the newest prompt for my Journal Your Christmas class and another one of my pages from last year was used as an example. It doesn’t take much to make me happy sometimes! Now I need to go do my pages from yesterday and today.

you went out late…cuz the snow didn’t start to fly to later tonight!!!

  • Hi Mary, Thanks for stopping by Monday Quilters. We are having our Christmas luncheon today and maybe doing some quilting. I have recently discovered there is a difference between a quilter and someone who quilts; I am definitely just someone who quilts but I enjoy it :-) … Enjoy your snow for Christmas. I have lived in “not so sunny Florida” for 30 years now. I do miss the snow at this time of the year and I am sad that my children didn’t get to grow up with that experience but life is soooooo much simplier without it. Love your website! Will be back to visit. Blessings, Pat

  • I haven’t sent out a Christmas card for years and years. One thing about snow is that it makes a person feel more Christmas spirit.

  • I am usually not that organized to get the cards out. I will buy them when they are on sale after Christmas and say that I will do them next year. But they don’t go out the next year either. I guess I am in the middle. This year I am making embroideried postcards for a few friends and family. I was wondering about your postcards, it looks like you have them in a clear or plastic envelope. Do you send them out in the mail that way. Have a great day and happy holiday.

  • Dawn:

I am so bad about sending them. This year I plan on mailing them out. I just need to go to the Garage of Shame and find the address book with all the addresses in it. Hmmmmmmmmm maybe next year I’ll send them out. :)

  • Your postcards are so pretty…what a fun card to receive!
I still have to finish writing mine.
I love the journalling project. I looked at all your pages and I just know that I am going to do this next year!
What do you do once you have completed the pages? Do you make them into a book?

  • I am a Christmas card sender and although some years it becomes a chore it is something I always do. I send about 100! Love getting cards in return in the mail.

  • Deborah:

I still send cards – just can’t seem to break the habit!
