Books I’m reading

That is so beautiful. Is all that batiks? I have a scrap tote of just batiks. Maybe that’s what I should do with them. It’s great.
More lovely quilts Mary. I must remember to drop you a note more often when I drop by to check out your newest creations.

That really is a knock out!
Do you ever get fed up with doing string quilts?
A double side quilt. It is lovely. You and Deborah did wonderful.
Beautiful! I love when the backs are as great as the fronts!
WOW! Both the front and back are stunning. Got to love those batiks!
ooough batiks!!! I love that she chose one to be the center of them all. and that darker purple for the skinny border is perfect! Love the back side too! Great job Deborah!!!
Happy New Year Mary & Love from Texas! ~bonnie
What a gorgeous quilt – front and back!
I never get tired of looking at these. This one’s really cool.
That is a beautiful quilt!
ohhh this is pretty too, love batiks and what she did with the back. I like when a person puts all they got into a quilt. Wish I could say I do the same…does it count if I think about it? Mary, I am the one with the sick sewing machine. Yes, I have a back up which hasn’t been used in well over a year. I have dug it out of storage and will see what she can do over the weekend. I was hoping to get my newer machine back before the next wave of weather comes in but, not likely. Stay warm!
That is a beauty! I don’t know which would be my favorite…the back or the front?! They both win.
Oh my gosh…the back is just as pretty as the front! Fantastic quilt!
ya gotta love a thrifty quilter! And look! she got a double sided quilt out of the deal! I LOVE love LOVE the look of scrappy backs..but I HATE hate HATE to piece them! After I have slogged thru one, I say NEVER again…then I have a look at it all quilted and bound, and fall in love with it! I’m hopeless!
What a beauty – front and back – and an inspiration to use up all those bits and pieces both sides of a quilt! Thanks for sharing this masterpiece -
The back is as beautiful as the front!
Ooh, yummy, I do love batiks. Loved the picture of Chesty as well, my cat also sits and glares at the fire when he wants it lit LOL! Our pets are not dumb!
That is a pretty string quilt. And the back looks like it could be the front. Very well done.
Ahhh, I just LOVE the string quilts..they’re ALWAYS SO pretty!! I’m working on one now inspired by your fall string quilt-those are MY colors! And that CHESTY, one smart cookie there. I LOVE his ‘bad hair’; so cute! lol
The back is great – a truly reversible quilt! Now if I could only do that on a queen sized backing I’d be really happy.
Wow! What a great quilt front and Back!!
If that’s a back then I’d better rethink what my fronts are supposed to look like. Beautiful!
