I love our Wii! I thought that I would be the last person in the world to say that. We've had Wii Fit since Father's Day 2009...and our kids purchase the new Wii Fit Plus for us for Christmas. LOVE it! We even have a little Mii for Diesel puppy. ;-)

I am like so many others - intrigued... I kind of want one, but I don't want it to be a thing that I bought & did not use... Also I don't want my son to watch TV, so how can I exercise with the TV when we are at home?

The Wii Fit will HELP. Eating right will do it. Ask me how I know.

I wasn't sold on the WiiFit, I got My Fitness Coach, which doesn't use the balance board (but may be able to incorporate it? not sure). It does a really good job of adjusting to your level of exercise, either easing up on some things or making other parts harder the next time around, depending on how you answer questions during your workout. It's not nearly as hard as an aerobics class at the gym, but it got me off my butt and working out again.
Have fun!

I have few illusions about exercising resulting in me losing any weight. I've walked a jillion miles in my life and it never caused weight loss. The yoga stretches sound like what I need just to have better balance and flexibility. Keep us posted.

I hope you've enjoyed the Wii :o) Looks fun!
I wish I was better with doing activities like this, but it's never too late, right? I have this training video I used to do... I think I'll find it and give it a try again... :o)
Anyway, I hope you have fun!
Wish you a creative week, and there's an award for you over "at my place" ;o)
Happy sewing,
Laila

I like our Wii. I'm not sure that Wii Fit actually makes you fit though. Not enough aerobics. But I love the yoga and how it can detect your center of balance. I haven't been on it in a while because I don't want to know how much weight I've gained since the last time I used it!

My sister's (college aged) kids have Wii and play all sorts of games with it. We used over the Holidays and had an absolute BLAST! I, too, have been intrigued with the Wii Fit but haven't done my research on it (yet). I could join a health club in my office building for about what I think the Wii would cost but would prefer to do this all at home. I did yoga when I was in my 20's and 30's and LOVED it. I was so limber and didn't seem to hurt myself as much when I did physical things. Granted, I've added 20-30 years onto my age but I think being limber would resolve a lot of health issues I'm experiencing. Will be watching to see what you think of it!

We just got one too. We've had it for a couple weeks but I've been really sick so I haven't used it much yet. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised at how much it does get my heart rate up with just the few things I've tried. It gets me up off the couch and moving -- something I need to do more of. And then there's the competition portion of it....besting each others' score is the main goal around here.

We have the wii fit and for Christmas just got the Biggest Loser for the Wii. Since Christmas, my son has lost 2 pounds using Biggest Loser. He is 12 and a bit overweight and that thing really works you out. He competes with his brother and sister and the competition part of the Biggest Loser is what keeps him going. He used the Wii Fit too, but would lose interest after a while. If you can keep motivated to do it every day, it will work. Keep us in the know and I'm sure you will have fun with it!
