Very nice quilt. Love the Circle Lord Swirls. I am sure there is a story on how all these patterns have religious names. Baptist Fans and Circle Lord… Interesting. Brings a smile to my face.

once you find a pattern you like you will be knitting socks without looking!

I love the color of your socks (red). I’m not ready for socks yet but I’m working on a scarf. Knitting for me is a challenge since I’m real new at it. It’s a nice break away from quilting & easy to do while watching some TV in the evening. Can’t wait to see when your socks are finished. Thanks for sharing.

Socks (and quilts, of course) look great. Just one question on the socks … actually, on knitting. Do you make a “gauge” sample before you start? I’m pretty much a self-taught knitter and they always talk about doing the 6″ x 6″ sample for “gauge” and I wondered if you did that before you tried your socks. They look great … if this the first pair you’ve ever tried? Love the red color.
