It’s colorful…
Very scrappy I know and I’m sure it’s not to everyone’s taste. Framing each of the 9 patch blocks in a single fabric or putting sashing between the blocks would have calmed it down some but I love it like this. I spent today making the rest of the blocks and I’ve started to assemble the rows.
I’m also enjoying having my sewing table in front of the window — not sure why I didn’t put it there when we first moved here. Today I was able to watch the snow coming down as I was working ….and as you can see, it’s still snowing. Again, not everyone wishes for snow but I love it.

I love colorful scrappy quilts!
))
I love the colours too!
Re the snowing picture – thank you. Here in Aus it is stinking hot drought ridden summer – and we never get snow anyway here. That looks magic….
Very scrappy, yes it is and it’s wonderful. Have you been over to my blog to see my scrappy quilt banner? I like colour and plenty of it. keep up the good work, I enjoy coming here to see your posts.
Very pretty. Both the quilt and the snow. I love watching snow, but am not so enthusiastic about going out in it.
I really like that quilt, Mary. The first word that came to mind was “vibrant,” so I looked it up in the dictionary to be sure that is the word I wanted. It says “pulsating with vigor and energy” — yep, that’s the word I wanted! Great work!
I think it’s gorgeous. I love that way you made the nine-patches tip each way. Such a lot of movement!
A perfect quilt for a snowy day!!! Reminds me of spring coming!
I love the brightness of it also.

LOVE that. I don’t like sashings and borders generally so this is my type of quilt. Its so much fun.
yep, colorful with lots of movement.
Glad you like the snow……..

I very much like this scrappy quilt. The colors seem so intense, deep jewel tones? I love having my machine where I can look out the window.
Love the quilt, love the snow … Phil saw his shadow so it’s another 6 weeks of winter! Keep stitching!!!
This is such a beautiful quilt! I haven’t quite been comfortable enough to do a scrappy quilt yet. While logically I know you can’t really screw it up, I’m afraid I’d find a way to do so.
) Some day…
I love your scrappy 9 patch. It has such a happy feel about it. I particularly like how you set them at different angles.
Great job as usual……just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate
your site with the tutorials. I pieced a boxed squares with some Hope
Valley fabric I had, and then put a 4 patch backing on it. Your site is a great tool.
Thanks Again for all you do.
Absolutely beautiful – the quilt and the snow! Jenn
I love scrappy quilts.
I love scrap quilt… more is better when it come to fabrics!!! At least to me it is:-)
The scrappier, the better! I love it…what a nice accomplishment. I have my sewing machine by a window too, it is fun to look out once in a whilte.
PS… I hit the enter button too soon.
Why use 3 fabrics when you can use 30. That’s my theory, and I’m sticking to it!
Lovely and scrappy. Love the snow too, like a winter wonderland.
The quilt is beautiful and very happy looking…lots of energy!
And the snow photo is spectacular…makes me want to run outside and make a snow angel!
