I’ve been up all night
First quilting, then knitting, then piecing, and finally writing up instructions for the Twisted 9 Patch.
I didn’t expect to finish this top today but I’m glad it’s done. I’m ready to move on. If you’re interested in the instructions, click on the link above which will take you to my MaryQuilts.com site.
I’ve turned my heel on the 2nd red sock so that one will definitely be finished this weekend as I’m planning on knitting while the Super Bowl is on. I don’t really care about either team but I’m sure we’ll have the game on so I’ll just sit and knit.
Now Keith and I are going to go out for breakfast and run a few errands before I come home and collapse into bed.

I really like that quilt! wonderful pattern to use up those scraps in my scrap bins.
Thank you Mary for taking time to write up the instructions. I’m sure there will be lots of Twisted 9 Patches being made in the very near future.
Your feet will be dancing in red socks soon.
Wow Mary, that turned out great!
Really nice quilt! I must show that pattern to DD… she will love this one! Great on your socks, too. I’m almost to the heel turn on my 2nd blue one… LOVING this knitting thing!
What do you MEAN you don’t care for either team!!!! GEAUX SAINTS!! Now you can holler for the Saints JUST because I “know” you and asked you to!

Your twisted nine patch block quilt is a good one! Now get your rest.
The Twisted Nine Patch looks great! Thank you for sharing the directions. Have a good weekend! I have not succumbed to knitting socks–yet! But, I do watch a knitting program on PBS! and I love your socks!
I really like the twisted 9-patch. I don’t have enough 9-patches made right now, but maybe in a month or so…
thanks for the instructions.
Yes who to root for…Pat McAfee (kicker/punter?) for the Colts graduated from HS with my daughter, I think they even went to the same elementary school!! How cool. It’s his rookie year. So that’s a big local buzz here in Plum.
I always feel bad for whomever loses.
Very fun design. It’s perfect for all kinds of fabric choices too – 30′s, batiks, etc. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
WHO DAT !!!
Love the quilt. I am making a similar one and am too lazy to do the partial seam thingy, so I’m cutting a 3 inch sash, sewing it around each block, and cutting them down at an angle. So each block surround is just one color. Bright green (25 blocks) and white (24 blocks).
That looks fabuous, with all those colours!
Oh Mary, you deserve a medal for that, thank you so much, I for one will be doing this, simple but very effective. thank you thank you thank you.

I just made a similar quilt from some orphaned 9 patch blocks.
I followed your twisted happy blocks pattern. Thanks Mary.
Your quilt turned out great! So how many 9 patches do you have left? I bet you have enough for another quilt. LOL
Wow! Love the twisted nine patch, especially the scrappy look of it. Gotta add this to my list of projects to make. Thanks so much for sharing the instructions online:)
