I’m not such a slug after all
Since I wasn’t going to sleep anyway I worked all night.
4 quilts trimmed, binding made, and machine stitched on – ready for me to hand stitch while watching the Olympics when I get home.
And 2 rather simple postcards for my family exchange for February. The nice thing about exchanging postcards with the family is I never have to worry about how good or how creative they are – it’s very low stress and we’re happy just to exchange them with each other.
I even went outside and down the street to the mailbox at 4:15AM (with my coat over my PJ’s) so I wouldn’t forget to send them before leaving. Since we live in the back on a dead end street of a small development — that’s not as bad as it sounds.
Keith will be up in about 30 minutes and it will be time to get ready to leave and I feel better for having accomplished something.

You are one crazy girl…but definitely not a slug. I probably would have been
too frightened to go out at that hour of the morning. Be safe on your
trip, it will be a wonderful time for you and Keith.
Being a morning person, I just can’t imagine working all night! You certainly are productive at night.
Those are adorable postcards-me thinks you nuts walking around at 4am outside, in winter, in jammies!
Have a great trip. Can’t wait for the Olympics!
great looking quilts. It’s pretty outside at night isn’t it. I sometimes sit out on the swing in nice weather in the yard and listen to the insect — in the warm weather! we have snow on the ground right now – unusual for my area of Arkansas.

NOT!!!! a slug! Your site is one of the first I check out! Silly girl, you are a creative, workhorse!
If all of us could do only half of the quilts you do nobody in our town would be cold! You are not a slug! Hope you can sleep on your way there… COME ON Winter Olympics, I can’t wait either for the all of the Ice Skating parts…Pairs, Mens and Ladies individual, ice dancing, I LOVE it all.
Enjoy your trip, have a mojito for me. :^)
Have a GREAT TRIP you lucky duck you!
When I lived up north I used to throw a coat on over my PJ’s and go grocery shopping!
That was a really productive night. I couldn’t imagine going out at that time of night (morning?) fully clothed, let alone in my jimjams.
Have a great trip.
What do you do with all the post cards that you have collected from your family and vice versa? Do they turn into a big quilt someday? Is there a way to display them all?
You certainly are not a slug. You are amazing with all your projects & most all go for donations. What a great thing.
Hey, we all can’t sleep sometimes so don’t worry about it. Envy you with all your traveling. Have a great trip.
