On my design wall

I’m not home but before I left, I tossed these blocks up on the design wall. I haven’t decided the setting or even figured out how many blocks I need but I’m toying with the idea of appliquéing some circles. Not sure what size or color but when I get home I’ll play a little in EQ – in fact, my copy of EQ7 might even be there when I get back.

I love the pleat fabrics! Im trying to bild up a bit of a collection to do a pleated quilt! Cant wait to see it come together 🙂

  • Very cute and I love the fabrics but isn’t all that curved piecing hard?

  • I haven’t stopped by in awhile. I am liking these homespun plaids. The picture of your mom is very nice with her big smile. She looks very happy. And I really like your Lattice in 30’s. All the quilts going to Ronald McDonald House are so darling. I like the strings with the white sashing and turned on point. The house quilt is just perfect for a donation to Ronald McDonald House. And yay! You got your red, white and blue done for QOV.

Really like the homespuns, Mary. I have a HUGE (understatement!) stash of plaid homespuns I’ve been saving for years. You’ve inspired me to do something with them rather than the traditional nine patch or fence rail. LOVE IT!

  • I was just organizing a circle quilt yesterday. My very first!

  • Mary – I like the idea of appliquéing cirles on these drunkard’s path blocks – I would go with the larger circle.

    I’m with Sarah,
The scale of the larger circles works better and I like the extra element it adds.
