No sewing YET

After a sleepless night, I had to nap today so I’m slow getting started.

I did manage my bike ride – I love that the Mississippi River is just right outside my door and that I have such a scenic place to walk and ride. My new sandals arrived today – I wanted a pair that I could wear instead of tennis shoes when I walk and ride around town – aren’t they pretty in an ugly functional kind of way?

And as you can see, the homespun blocks are still on the design wall – maybe I’ll work on those last 8 blocks later tonight.

  • I love your new sandles, I got something similar for my girls last summer and they lived in them. Hoping when summer comes around again I will be able to get at pair in adult size for me!

cool shoes-I prefer those kind to tennis shoes-too hot
And the homespun strings are great-they have a soft/muted look!

  • Cathy:

I love the sandals where did you get them?

  • I just spent another five days in your neck of the woods and I’ve got to say it is beautiful this time of the year and you live in one cool city..the problem with moving there is that blasted winter y’all get…that and y’all don’t say y’all….

  • Amy:

    LOVE the sandals!!!!!

  • Char:

Are those Keens? Nothing like them, if I could afford it, I’d have them in every color!
I’m trying to get some exercise in too, but even though I live in a small town, it’s pretty scarry riding my bike.

  • Kellie:

We call them “shandals,” since they’re not quite shoes and they’re not quite sandals. Love ‘em!

  • Lisa:

I love ugly shoes also… I think ugly is the new cute… much to my hubby’s dismay ;)
