It’s all about the texture

Well, all quilting is about texture but with String quilts I think texture is even more important because the tops are so busy.

This HeartStrings top was pieced by Melva.

Quilted with one of my favorite pantographs for string quilts – Seaweed.

And backed with one of my Off Center 4 Patch backings.

Because of your interest in “heartstrings”, I just joined and am working on blocks today……they are so much fun to stitch and so colorful and happy for the recipient……

    I agree! Texture texture texture.

I love the panto that you used! It has a calm energy about it. Hmm…I may have to try freehanding this one….

I love this string quilt! The colors are so bright and vivid. The texture and quilting is beautiful too. Did you piece in on muslin or with strips?
