Speaking of texture

Freehand Baptist Fans – I think they’re my favorite thing to quilt. This is a HeartStrings top I pieced during our last project.

And while I was downstairs quilting, Chesty found a spot with some morning sun.

Well, I’m absolutely convinced that when I do make my “plaid” quilt (someday) that Baptist Fans will be the ONLY way to quilt it. This design is so absolutely perfect for this quilt. Love it! Plaid quilts bring to my mind fall/winter days curled up underneath them. Great job, Mary! Chesty looks soooooo relaxes basking in the sun … he’s adorable!

Ah I would love to be right next to Chesty right now. I stayed up all night long day/night dreaming. I just found out that I will be able to get a Gammill Classic for real cheap and it is brand new. I went to see it Oh my God. Now I will be able to do those Baptist Fans. I love them but they just don’t look the same when done smaller.

I love seeing all the different patterns that you quilt the tops with. But I think that Baptist Fan is probably my favorite. Thanks for sharing all the pictures.
