A Labor Day quilting retreat
Over at HeartStrings, some of our members are participating in a virtual retreat this holiday weekend and are making blocks to send in for group quilts but as much as I’d like to join them, I need to get a couple quilts done before the Maine sew-in that’s coming fast.
I started early today and quilted my 2nd Homespun quilt I need to get finished. Next up will be binding for both of them.
Quilted with a pantograph – Seaweed. I love the texture of it on this quilt.
If you’d like to join HeartStrings in making blocks this weekend, click this link: Guidelines for HeartStrings blocks.
If you’d like to make your own version of this Drunkard’s Path quilt, instructions are on my MaryQuilts.com site.

I think I need to get that pantograph. It’s a nice gender-neutral one, and so pretty. Just the right amount of texture. Nice looking quilt too!
Nice. I still haven’t put together my drunkards path…can’t decide on a setting.
I love this quilt. I will learn to do curved piecing because I would like to make one too.
Your Drunkard’s Path in homespuns is just my style! Love it!
LOVE that one… the pattern and the colors… even though I usually lean towards crazy brights & funkys that one feels like the log cabin in the moutains of N. Carolina where I want to one day live
Nice job on the drunkard’s path quilt Mary! I love the bigger blocks and the plaid!
LOVE the colours and the quilting on this one! On closer inspection I reckon something similar could be done freehand – like Patsy Thompson’s Loaves of Bread, but with points at the ends and curvy! Might have to give that a try sometime
I love the way this turned out – it’s such a great quilt and the pantogragh is beautiful!
Lovely quilting on this beautiful quilt
