Breakfast anyone?

Yes, I sleep late so I had beer and pretzels for breakfast this morning (afternoon)

…. watching the Vikings lose.

A little hand stitching this afternoon and now I’m half way done with Keith’s binding and there’s a pot of homemade lentil soup on the stove. This will be my first attempt to use the new immersion blender. In the past, I’ve always made broth based soups so wish me luck or at least something edible!

My kind of breakfast, I am such a night person, that I have recently requested working the evening shift at work which does help, considering, I don’t have to be there until 1 pm. But some days, even that is to early. Its 7:30 pm, and I have just been up an hour, I really need to work at a 24 hour library, and work the graveyard shift, LOL.

Beer and pretzels for breakfast sounds OK to me. You just turn the day around and have cereal for dinner. Whatever floats your boat.
Mary, I wish I’d thought of buying one of those gizmos for when I cut up and cooked three pumpkins a couple of weeks ago. Using the food processor/blender was OK, but clean up took too long. My Greyhound LOVES pumpkin!

Oh have fun I am so NOT a night person it is 8pm here in NM. And I am already way too sleepy. Nite all. Happy dreams. Have fun all you night owls. 🙂

You will love the stick blender, it is much easier to use than to transfer the hot soup to a blender and a lot less cleaning. Just make sure that you have removed all the bones from the soup before using it! LOL

Here in Oz we call them stab (or stick) mixers and I’ve had one as a mainstay in my kitchen for at least 25 years!!! Bamix is the most recognised brand here but they all work in a similar way and they are FANTASTIC!!! You’ll be wondering how you ever coped without one very soon!

A stick blender-I use mine for everything. (especially lumpy gravy) DD named ours years ago when she was little–its called a “ring a ding”. Yes, the name stuck!

A stick blender is one of my all-time favorite kitchen gadgets. Great to make cream of veggie soup with left-over veggies. And GREAT for saving lumpy gravy – I can’t tell you how many times. And great for mixing yogurt, bananas and milk for my breakfast drink. You are going to love yours! Cheers! Evelyn
