Vegas Baby!

We’re fairly boring people and usually usher in the new year sound asleep but this year I decided I wanted to do something more exciting so we’re going to Vegas ….a show, a little time on the slots…. we booked it tonight!

Lived there for 2 years and loved it. My 2 favorite restaurants are there…Hugo’s Cellar and La Pamplemousse. Both are worth the trip. Enjoy!

We’re pretty quiet folks too but enjoyed our trip last year. We went for the shows and were lucky in our scheduling. In three consecutive nights we saw Elton John, Bette Midler, and Jersey Boys (the musical about the Four Seasons). I bet since you’re going over New Year’s, you can find some good shows as well – ENJOY! By the way, do I remember that there’s a really good quilt shop in Las Vegas? Can’t remember the name, but I do remember that there is. There’s also a company that does a shop hop for visitors there. Have a wonderful time!

Great trip … but expect HUGE crowds … I think it’s one of their busiest times (if not THE busiest time) of the year. It’s such a fun place!

I LOVE Las Vegas! What a great way to ring in the New Year…what show are you going to see? Can I hide out in your suitcase and come along?

And always remember the old saying…”What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!”

We’ll be there for Christmas-our daughter lives there. Staying at a casino because her house is small. Great rate. They think we’ll be leaving lots of money in their slots, but we’ll be with our grandchildren having lots more fun. Have fun and win big!!!!!

This is a little on the low-brow side of Vegas, but the french toast at Blueberry Hill restaurants is the best (with ham on the side)! And the Quilted Goose is one of my favourite quilt stores. Hmmm and a little hole in the wall behind Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall called Batistas- cozy atmosphere, authentic Italian food and a wandering accordion player- need I say more? Hope I can make a return trip sometime soon!

I love Las Vegas! We use to try and go at least once a year- before the economy went bad. I would love to go on New Year’s Eve. Have a great time!

I was there a number of years ago, when the Luxor 1st opened!
The population of Las Vegas increased by 70,000 people!!!
We woke in the morning, people were sleeping on the craps table, the blackjack table, in the corner by the slots machines!
    Have a wonderful time!
    Take care, Leslie

Ooo, I’m so jealous! lol Our last trip to Vegas was in Jan ’03, though not to ring in the New Year. Still, the weather was wonderful, and there weren’t a lot of folks there in mid-January. Have a great time!
