A little binding …

I’ve started the embroidery on the small quilt but I’m working my way through the binding I have here waiting too — two quilts were trimmed (a third is still waiting) and now one is finished. A HeartStrings quilt from donated blocks.

And look how lucky I was, I pulled this polka dot off the shelf and it was the perfect shade — instead of using the GO to cut the binding I decided I’d rotary cut it because I only had about half a yard … I just BARELY had enough.

You don’t use bias grain binding?

I love polka dot fabrics and PHEW!! Glad there was enough ;-)

  • Yikes! That’s cutting it pretty close, Mary. Glad that you had just enough to bind the quilt.

  • Elaine S:

How much would you lose using the Go Cutter? I’ve been considering buying one, but am not sure…then there’s dies to purchase etc. so not sure it’s worth it? How much waste is there?
    thanks Elaine
