I’m getting over my fear of power tools

I haven’t done a build day in a couple years  (where does the time go?) but really enjoyed my time today on Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build. I’m exhausted but it’s a good tired.

I worked with the smaller group (that included the homeowner to be) on the garage

I’ve always wanted to work on a Habitat home, but there aren’t any local enough for me. I’d have to drive an hour to get to one and that just doesn’t fit the schedule right now. Maybe when the kids are out of the house. I’m sure you learn lots of things and would love the feeling of helping someone out like that. What a great cause. I’d love to donate a quilt to the new homeowner too when the house is all done. How fun would that be?

I would LOVE to do this Mary! How do you find out about this kind of project in Mpls?

Wow. Time well spent for a worthy cause. I wish too that I could help.
You are indeed a caring person Mary; well done.

I wish I was there with you…I LOVE POWER TOOLS! I have my own drill and am looking for someone to either give me lessons, or hold my hand as I add some more power to the garage! I have my heart set on this little table type saw I saw on TV. I NEVER buy things off the TV! Never ONCE from QVC or anything like that. So why does this saw call my name!? I have no idea! lolol
