No sewing yesterday or today (so far) but I’ve been busy. Genealogy research yesterday getting ready for the trip to Philly including reading up on BillionGraves. The plan is to use their iPhone app to document graves while I’m there. I also got into doing some transcriptions — it’s not like I don’t have a million other things to do but I kind of like looking at headstones and wondering about the people buried there.

Keith’s finally back in town after being gone but he had business dinners last night and tonight so I wandered across the river to get my steps and something to eat. I love eating in the outdoor courtyards around the city.

I grew up in Phila but now live in MA. My husband and I have been in Avalon NJ for the past month. I have been reliving my childhood. I have done a little genealogy in Phila but have been concentrating on my husband’s family in the Scranton area. We will be driving up there next week and spend 2 days trying to find info on his paternal grandmother’s side. It has been difficult but I am hoping to have a little luck.
    Enjoy your time in Phila.

I’m not doing any genealogy but I have always liked to look at headstones … thought I might be a little weird. Reassuring to know that others are interested as well. Always spent a few moments looking at the dates and seeing how old they were, the time period in which they lived, etc. A different look at history ….
