#9 of 10
This Chinese Coins quilt was pieced by a group in CA and sent with other HeartStrings tops for me to quilt and donate.
All of it quilted freehand – wavy x’s in the coins and swirls in the sashing create a neat effect on the back.
I was kind of stumped about what to do in the outer border but ended up doing some crescent looking things since there were moons in the sashing print.
I’m never all that happy with my freehand work but it will do! Just one more small one to quilt before the Philly trip so I’m feeling a lot more caught up.

I like it! Love those wavy x’s in the blocks – I’ll have to try that! Maybe I’ll see you around Philly!!
A other lovely quilt with a beautiful quilting job.
