I’ll be late this month

September’s UFO is my Homespun Rails and I’ll be late finishing it but on the off chance that I’ll feel up to quilting on Friday, I went ahead and pieced a backing for it today. I needed a little more than 2 widths of fabric for the length so I used my strippie backing and its all ready to be loaded on the longarm.

Tonight, I’ll work on some binding and maybe some more knitting.

Sorry you still seem to be recovering Mary. I was so interested in the knitting goods you were purchasing recently. I am trying to get more into the knitting I have known how to do since age 8, but just could never get very far with it. I am a prolific quilt-maker, so I know I can learn to be more productive knit-wise. I just received some books and a DVD from E. Zimmerman/Schoolhouse Press so I may yet make some progress. Would love to see your prayer shawl with the ribbon. That would be yarn I would have to order from somewhere and I would like to see the effect you get using it. Hope you feel better soon.

What ever your taking Mary for stamina count me in. Phew I’m so impressed with your focus. I get up in a morning and spend ages deciding what to do and before I accomplish anything its time to go to bed. Can’t wait to see this top quilted; homespun is one of my favorites.

Don’t overdo it trying to meet self-imposed deadlines. You have been go, go, go lately – your body needs a break. Feel better soon. And I like the strippie backings for quilts! Cheers! Evelyn
