Owl pillow

It’s done and I’d probably give myself a B- but in spite of that it’s kind of cute.

I might just have to make another one now that I know what I’m doing more or less. Pattern is by Susie C Shore and I found the site through a link from JudyL’s blog. It seems that both of our daughter-in-laws chose owl themes for the new babies.

  • You are too hard on yourself. It’s adorable. Definitely an A.

  • It really is adorable, I must say. I love how the flowered circle in the owl’s tummy is encircled by his/her arms. Really cute!

  • It is really cute!

  • That is a cute pillow, Mary, and it looks great! Owls are all the rage now, and both of my daughters (aged 11 and 21) have T-shirts, purses, etc., with owls on. I guess I’d better get that pattern for Christmas gifts! Thanks for the inspiration! :)

When I was a little girl my Nana made us all pillows – they were round with faces on them and a zipper on the back so we could hide our treasures in there (more like so they could be easily washed!). I remember how very much we loved these pillows. Sometimes kids just love the simple things! And they will remember that you made them… forever! It looks wonderful! Cheers! Evelyn

What a cute pillow! I’m going to have to go check out the blog! Pillows are very popular in Japan because of the word play. Fukuro (Owl) Fu= no and Kuro=hardship. No hardships!!
