It’s easy now

I had to get a needle with a longer cable today so Keith and I went out to lunch and I stopped by the yarn shop.

It’s an easy knit at this point and is growing fast … Of course my progress will slow down as the diameter grows and each row will take much longer. I just love the spiral!

The color is more true in the first photo but I wanted to show you why I cast on so many times … Look how neat and pretty my center is.

Both the yarn and the design are beautiful.

  • Nice job, Mary!

It will be fun to see this project progress.

  • Kathy:

You find such interesting projects, Mary. I love watching your progress…very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

I also enjoy seeing your quilt project progress. Do you have any good tips for how you manage to get so many projects done each month?

Are those “lifelines” I see in your knitting? Good girl!! I was at a crochet class today and plan on taking a beginner’s knitting class in a couple of weeks … we were talking about “lifelines” in knitting and how important (and smart) they are. Looking good, Mollie!

  • That is one very flat center. And that is very hard to do.

  • Judy:

Looks absolutely perfect. So hard to keep ripping it out, but worth the effort. I’ve never tried knitting a circular item before – will keep watching this one and considering.

  • NICE swirl in that pattern. I have circular needles but haven’t used them. I see why you had to use DPN’s at first.

  • Very pretty indeed!
