Another

I love how different our HeartStrings quilts can look. #4 was pieced by Paula and has sashing between the blocks. Quilted during the night (yes I was up all night) with the pantograph Ebb and Flow, the plan is to get it bound in the next few days before we head out again.

Now I’m going to head to bed and try to get some sleep before my volunteer shift at the library this afternoon.

The string block sure is versatile. Every quilt you showed this week looks so different. I love them. I just finished a set of 24 string blocks, but have not set them together yet into a top. Maybe the next set I do will have to have that narrow white strip on framing the center like the quilt yesterday – very striking.

    Enjoy the library!

  • It looks wonderful! I love all the quilting designs you have been using. I’m sorry you have insomnia. It can sure wear you down—

  • It’s amazing how different string quilts can be, isn’t it?

Ah….operating on my schedule again. :-)

When you make your string blocks do you sew them on to a fabric foundation? I love string quilts, such a great way to use up all those bits and pieces.
