So excited!!

The Whole Foods is finally open. When we moved into our townhouse 5+ years ago it was “coming soon”. Now we have a wonderful market with fresh and prepared foods just 5 blocks away.

I used to love Whole Foods … thought everything was great. But … not to take the bloom off your excitement … I have found them to be pricey and not as “fresh” as a farmer’s market or, actually, my local Meijer store. As Holly said above, “whole paycheck” isn’t too far off. Everyone has their preference … I’ve just changed mine!

WOW wish we had one here. But we are out in the country so I guess we grow our own. 🙁 Enjoy I think it would be so much fun to go to a store and get what I need no matter the season. and I don’t have to weed/water and harvest the garden and then like now worked all day cleaning it up for next year. I just want a market place to go to. I see it on TV all the time.

I love their stuff, but I agree with the “WHOLE” paycheck statement. I too have gown my own and sometime I prefer it, but it is a lot of work.

I love browsing there–so many interesting items to see! Yes, it is Whole Paycheck but it is still fun! The Lincoln WF opens soon–yay!!

Do you have Trader Joe’s? It is my favorite!!!

Ours just opened yesterday! The traffic is so bad they have police out there to monitor the car jam 😉 I’ll probably wait until all the craziness dies down before shopping there this year, but we’ve been waiting for about five years for ours, too. We used to drive about 30 minutes across the bay to shop at the nearest one, on occasion.

    The convenience will be wonderful.

We have one being built about 15 minutes from us. We love Whole Foods – especially for the veggies and fruits. Love local farmers markets too. WF is too expenisve for doing a weekly shopping in overall, but they tend to carry items not carried in a regular grocery store. We have two other “gourmet” grocery stores nearby as well. For special items or special occasions only!
