When we got home from taking Keith’s Mom back, I pulled out my binding and finished stitching down this one pieced by Sharon. After the first of the year, I’ll get this one and the other bound ones washed and ready to donate.

And here’s a photo of my boys Christmas morning! Poor Chesty threw up half the day but seems better now.

Poor Chesty! Hope he feels better today.

I really like the way that narrow scrappy inner border looks. It definitely adds to quilt. Very pretty!

Awww…Chesty is such a love. Has to be so hard when he’s not feeling good but glad Keith was there to share the day with you. Love the light background with the colorful strips ~ beautiful binding too!

Mary – You did a really nice job on my quilt – glad it’s going somewhere to be used.
I’ve decided I need to try to downsize my finished quilts – donate or Ebay. I had 57 quilts – most of them bed-sized – hanging on a closet rod in my sewing room closet, and the rod bracket pulled out of the wall from the weight of them all – approx. 350 lbs. – and everything slid down to the floor. Evidently 350 lbs. is too much for one bracket, lol. And yet I make more . . .
My family also is not doing the gift-giving – more relaxed that way.

The boys look happy and you got some time stitching, sounds great. In the last comment exchange yo hoped I had a good Christmas – I did – family, friends and thoughtful gifts. My granddaughters printed heron pictures since we tried to take some when they visited in July. The other stuff – Frixxion pens and gift cards work for me.

    Love that quilt, Mary.

We’ve also stopped exchanging gifts for Christmas – we’ve all got way too much ‘stuff’. Because we’re all crafters of one kind or another, we ask people to bring projects for ‘show and tell’ and that kinda replaces the present-opening. It’s really interesting to see what other family members have been working on and it’s nice to show off my own stuff.

How is Chesty doing? I pray all is well with. I know how hard it is when our best friends are sick.
