Heading home

This week flew by but I’m looking forward to heading home tomorrow. Chesty has had a bad day and I hate being away from him when he’s not feeling well.

Today Mom and I fixed dinner for my brother and his family … We got to spend time with my nephew’s twins.

I  just have the one photo of Mom with Truitt but here’s one of both of them from their family vacation this week.  Eliza was too busy being walked to have her photo taken with her great grandmother.

We’re planning our activities for our next visit – I think I’ve talked her into crocheting a bunny — we’re going to use this Leisure Arts pattern and we’ll do them without buttons since we’ll be giving them to little ones. Have any of you knit or crocheted toys? Any favorite patterns?

Glad to see you are having a lovely visit with your Mom. She is such a beautiful lady. I have crocheted a few toys and got the Amigurumi Patterns from Etsy. I made a giraffe, rabbit & bear. They are very easy to make and are a nice size for small children.

Just love the pictures of your mom … she has such a beautiful smile on her face looking at that great grandbaby! Still blessed to have my mom but she’s approaching 90 and health issues are taking their toll on her. Still, we have good days together and making memories we both can share. Thanks for sharing yours! Linda

Love those precious babies. Your mom is wonderful, I bet you have had a wonderful visit.

I have made, in the past, a lot crocheted toys and they were fun. Didn’t matter what pattern it was, I enjoyed it and I didn’t find any that were hard to follow. I just grabbed one that looked cute and made it. So have fun. They are addicting!

How lucky you are to spend such great times with your mom. She seems like such a fun lady.
You asked about crocheting animals — at one time I crocheted a winnie the pooh bear. I can’t even remember who I gave it to. I bet I still have the pattern somewhere in my files. Haven’t thought of that in years.

The photo of your Mom & Truitt is a treasure – the look on her face and the gentle touch of her hand speak volumes.
