Merry Christmas

I hope your day was as lovely as mine.

We were up early to watch Rae open presents.

Becky cooked brunch for us … Scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast then the kids and Keith took Rae to the park and I had an hour or so to crochet. I thought I’d finish my afghan while they were gone but I ran out of yarn with just inches to go.  I’m sure Mom has some leftover pink from her baby afghans that she can give me to finish this one up.

I cooked Christmas dinner and in spite of a timing challenge or two it must have been good because every one had seconds.

After Rae went to bed we returned to our game of Uno began earlier in the day.

We’ve enjoyed our week with the kids and they’re leaving early in the morning to go home. Rae must have enjoyed herself because when she saw Becky packing up and found out they’re going home tomorrow she came to me and asked if she could stay at Gram and Pop’s house.

We too had a lovely Christmas. As there are only 3 of us, Hubby, Mom and I. Oh and how could I forget our Shadow. Anyway very quiet but nice and with El Ninio (sp) keeping it so mild in the great white north and green, Mom and I took Shadow for a long walk before Dinner. Glad you had a lovely Christmas too.

We had a lovely day with both girls’ families here. 5 kids under 5 was loud and crazy and fun. And since supper time we’ve had about 4 inches of new snow with another 6 inches expected in the morning. We’re so glad the Rapid City family got here before the snow started. Merry Christmas!

Thank you. We did have a lovely day. Gotta love that Rae wants to say with you rather than go home ~ tough to see them go!

We went to Encinitas (Northern San Diego) for Christmas Eve afternoon and Christmas morning. Todd smoked a prime rib, made garlic mashed potatoes green beans with bacon. The wine was sipped on all afternoon and was out of this world! We voted against the salad. Just too much food as I had brought tons of appetizers. What a delectable dinner. It could not have been better. A fun afternoon, evening and morning. Love our son, his wife Laura and the grands! Christmas could have not been better!
