Moving day

Mom and I are sitting in the den knitting while the movers load up the truck.

Mom’s knitting a scarf/shawl – she started with the Be Simple Variations that I’ve made a couple times but after a little while, she decided she would rather try the original one without the eyelets. Both shawls are free patterns on Ravelry – click either link to go to the pattern pages on Ravelry.
Pattern – Be Simple Shawl

Needles – size 6

Yarn – Wollmeise Pure

Glad it is going well and that you have the calm spirit to sit and knit. I have lived in the same house for over 40 years because when my husband and I moved from our first apartment to this place we found we don’t move well together.

oh you are good !!!! The movers must love you. We have moved numerous times, and it took me several moves to teach my husband that he should not “help”……….. Now he and I sit in yard chairs, and answer any question asked, and we go for lunch for the moving guys ! No more exhausted feet at the end of the day.

I hope the move/weather goes well. Is your mom moving to a retirement place? My MIL lived in her house for 60+ years and finally moved in July to a retirement place. She is so happy and busy! After my FIL died 4 years ago she was so lonely. I hope all goes well!

Oh boy that confused me! I thought, is this an old picture? How did Chesty get there?! Where is your mom moving to? I don’t think you’ve shared. I hope she has room to still quilt, she does beautiful work!
