On my needles

I worked hard getting Mom moved but don’t feel sorry for me. I enjoyed a quiet afternoon and evening here at the hotel – knitting, reading, and napping – and I have a week at home before heading off to Hawaii for vacation.

Pattern – Interlude

Needles – size 6

Yarn – Wolle’s color changing cotton

Lovely scarf! enjoy the quiet and give yourself a pat on the back for the move. Moving is terribly stressful!

I don’t feel sorry for you, but I respect you for holding the values that our population seems to be losing. My nephews are an example – one is too busy, the other is willing to do whatever is necessary. I had been through it with my brother, but in this case the one that talked a good game was the one that did nothing and the one I really didn’t know well and expected nothing of is amazing. You too are amazing. Special times and special things for others are no accident and are very time consuming and sometimes wear on both body and spirit, but you can be counted on to do those very special things. I am in awe.

Peace of mind knowing that Mom is no longer alone is a reward for all the hard work you put in these past few weeks! I’m sure your family is grateful that you were able to be there for her. Love the shawl you are working on and Hawaii sounds perfect right about now.
