A great space

I know I posted photos back when we bought this townhouse – May 2015 – but we’ve been changing the layout. What is basically a formal living room is becoming a home library.  French  doors that we added, lead to a formal dining room which we’ve turned into Keith’s home office. Since we’ve moved to FL, if he’s not traveling, he’s working at home.

This is what we call the family room – or the TV room. It’s on the other side of the wall from the library. A wood burning fireplace (yes, in Florida) and don’t you love those beams and the brick??? I do!!!

Also downstairs, a half bathroom, a breakfast room, and the kitchen. This is a huge townhouse, almost 3000 square feet, and I love it!! Three bedrooms upstairs including a master that stretches the entire width of the house.

The upcoming bathroom renovation will update both upstairs bathrooms — this is the master bath which is very dated. I didn’t want to buy a house that required updating but we were lucky to find so much space right near downtown where we could walk to restaurants and shops.

Stay tuned, the bathroom renovations begin in April.

Love the new library look, exposed bricks always look amazing I think, dont envy a bathroom reno, worth it when its finished though 🙂

My bathrooms need updated, but I’m not nearly as quick as you. I’ve been living in our house for 15 years!! I’ll keep my eye on your reno to get ideas. Like your library. We use our living room and library/office and don’t miss the ‘living room’ space at all.

Your town house looks like a great place to live, with plenty of space. My favorite spot might be that family room. Love the look of brick. I think I would turn that big master bedroom into a sewing studio. Would there be room for the quilting machine? It would drive me nuts to have my machine in another state! After all, how much room do people need to sleep and change clothes? But maybe that’s just me. 🙂

I love the bookcases, they are so perfect for there. That fireplace is lovely. Can it be converted to wood burning also, since it appears to be on the other side of the one that does burn. I love your town house. I am so envious. It is beautiful. The family room is gorgeous. We have a floor to ceiling stone fireplace (gas logs) in our living room which is really a family room as far as I am concerned by our kitchen and I love it. You have lovely place and when you are done, it will be perfect for sure. Good luck with the baths. You did a great job on the bookcases.

Love everything about your townhouse, well maybe not the stairs—but it looks so nice and you have so much room. Nice that you can walk just about everyplace you need to go. I like your bathroom just the way it is—but, I live in an old house and paint and new flooring is just about all we ever do anymore.
