Holiday weekend

We’re enjoying our holiday weekend and keeping up with our training. Today’s walk was 4.5 miles and it was hot – even at 5:30pm.

Being mindful of the meaning of the holiday, we remember those who have served including my father and Keith’s father. My brother-in-law, Jamie, and my nephew, Ben, visited Arlington National Cemetery to honor Keith’s dad and sent us this photo. It was an unexpected and incredibly thoughtful thing to do.

That was a very thoughtful thing to do. I hope to visit Ft Snelling soon to visit my grandparents’ grave site. I was able to visit my parents’ graves 2 years ago on Memorial Day.

WOW–great walk–nice thoughts, too. It is raining “cats and dogs” here off and on–I will have to get my walk in on the treadmill today…(Bonjour, Monsieur Poirot” lol) I have begun putting my PS, I Love You” postage stamp blocks together; they are 17 x 17 and there are 12 of them…Lotsa matching here….hugs, Julierose
