We arrived in GA safely

The car was completely packed yesterday and we got up and on the road at 5:30 am this morning. The drive was relatively uneventful and took us about 9 hours. It was nice to have Keith with me on the drive … He’s not always able to manage it with his schedule and I frequently drive it alone which of course means unpacking the car by myself. Not this time!

I’m planning on quilting 15 tops this month while I’m here so I needed some extra batting. Again, nice to have help unloading!

Wow, I’m impressed Mary! 15 quilts in a month….that’s a whole lot of quilting! And a whole roll of batting probably. Please post photos. (and rest)

Having to carry everything across that walkway would certainly make me appreciate any and all help. Keith of course has his seemingly ever present smile. Glad you guys are there safely.

I’ll bet you are really looking forward to the next month in such a pretty setting. And closer to your kids too, and your long arm machine. Win-win!

I love your blog. With your permission I used the stripie quilt to teach a group of young girls from my church how to sew quilts. They loved it and it was easy to make without a lot of experience. Please, please, please do not let any criticism from people bother you. You do a great service and I truly appreciate it. Some people just don’t know how to be nice…. But there are many of us who do know how to be nice and appreciative. Enjoy your time in Big Canoe!

That drive sounds just about as bad as the one I’ve made a jillion times between Ft. Worth and Pagosa Springs, CO except that it’s 13 hrs. I’ve done it many times myself and it’s a BEATING alone but with someone in the car, it goes so much more quickly (still a beating just not as bad). WOW, 15 in a month is quite a lofty goal. Good luck on that and have fun as well.
