It feels like Monday

All day long I’ve felt like it was Monday … maybe because Keith isn’t here.

I spent today in the sewing room – finishing the quilting on my HeartStrings quilt. The pantograph is Flirtatious- yes again! I try to group quilts that use the same thread and pattern when I can. It’s just a little quicker!

Mom’s Plus 2 top is loaded and started – I’ll finish it up tomorrow.

Finn was a little fussy at first this morning – until he realized that he could sit watch me quilt. I know it’s a lot for him to get used to but he’s doing great.

At that age everything takes getting used to – as long as you are patient he will learn. My daughter adopted a hound that is about 2 that had been adopted twice before. He will take a lot more work because the people who cared for him before didn’t have the patience to train him so they dumped him by the side of the road. Hounds take more work, but it will be worth it. They are paying to have some training done and he is already so much better than he was.

Love Finn, my baby girl is convinced that since you found Finn so soon after her Finn died that there has to be a connection. I told her how well you care for your animals and she laughs with joy. No she doesn’t believe in reincarnation just hopes that love continues somehow.

That’s a pretty one! I like the polka dot sashing. I’m guessing the sound of the long arm bothers Finns ears, or maybe it’s just an unfamiliar sound.

What a great quilt. I love all the bright colors and how that sashing really makes the colors pop! I’m sure Finn will get used to all the different things you do. He is really a cute little boy.

Finn is such a cutie! Our 11 year old Morkie has bladder cancer and we don’t expect her to be with us much longer. We keep saying that we might not get another dog so that traveling will be easier, but seeing Finn makes me want one just like him!

How do you keep your square from shifting and becoming the wrong size.
I sew my fabric strips to a 11 x 11 inch fabric square. When I get done sewing the strips on my square is out of shape. Why?????
