Yes it’s hard to believe but the Schoolhouses are finally a completed top. Mom appliqued the blocks for me and all I had to do was sash and assemble it but I managed to drag it out since August. Who does that?!

August to October is not even remotely a long process. There are those of us who take a loonnng, long time to finish things—mostly because there are too many projects going at the same time. πŸ™‚

The quilt is beyond adorable! I hope you don’t give it away. You could maybe save it for one of your grandchildren so that they have a quilt that was made by both their grandma and great-grandma. It’s just too wonderful to give away. I’m going to have to buy that Accuquilt die. Thanks for the inspiration. πŸ™‚

It looks like there are some lovely calicoes in this quilt. Blue is always so restful in a quilt.

I have always found this to be an impressive quilt pattern–beautifully appliqued by your Mom!
I think it is beautiful…nice quilt that “looks like” a quilt….graphic and yet not all ultra modern…
    love it..hugs, Julierose

I so agree with Clara — not a long time for most of us, but you set yourself some tough agendas that most of us could not accomplish in those time limits. This quilt is so perfect!! — the blues are just
right, all your work on the triple sashings and 9 patches was so worth all of that work. I also agree
that you should definitely keep it!

I agree with Clara. How nice to give one of your grandchildren a quilt that grandmother and great grandmother worked on. It is just beautiful in every way! It really didn’t take you that long either.
