I’ve managed to make half of my HeartStrings blocks for my Veteran’s Day quilt. I’ll continue to work on it this week.

If you’d like to make a quilt for a veteran, I have lots of inspiration on my website

If you’d like to make a planned HeartStrings quilt like mine, inspired by Sharon in Maine, you can find guidelines here.  I found I didn’t have enough of my red star fabric for all of my corners so I’m using the blue star fabric on one corner and the red star fabric on the other.

From the daughter of one veteran and the mother-in-law of two others, thanks for sharing your time and talent with our veterans.

What a wonderful plan. I”m going to annotate my calendar so that I can do this next Veterans Day. This year I attended the funeral of a 92yo veteran, the husband of a guild friend. They had been married for 74 years. Imagine that!
