If not completely normal, at least there were no polyps. I’ll have to have some follow up annually and another colonoscopy in 5 years rather than the 10 I’d hoped for but I’m in good shape and glad to have it done for now. I slept most of the morning, read most of the afternoon and once Keith and Finn head to bed, I’m going to make my last few blocks for my Verteran’s Day quilt.

I’m not the only one who snaps photos in inappropriate places but I don’t look half bad for being up most of the night running to the bathroom! The prep really is the only unpleasant part of this.

If you read all the comments under yesterday’s post you’ll see how important it is to get screened … thanks to everyone who wrote and shared their experiences.

Glad there was no bad news and sorry that you have to be rechecked every 5 years, but it is really only a very small portion of your life to invest in your health.

I’m scheduled for this procedure end of this month. You’re right about the prep. It’s awful. The procedure isn’t bad. This will be my last one. I’m getting over the age that they’re required. There has to be some reward for getting old. 🙂
