Another pantograph

One last top quilted before closing the sewing room down! Another one of Mom’s.

Deciding on a pantograph….

I chose the one on the left – Happy Times. So far so good…

And done! This one has a minkee backing so I’m going to have Mom send me the binding and take it back to FL to trim. I’ll machine stitch the binding on and leave it for her to hand stitch down.

What a beautiful Bear Paws quilt! Great job on the quilting.

In a few months (hopefully) I’ll be packing up my sewing room to move to South Carolina. A lot of my fabric stash has already made the journey. I’m trying to sort and cull items that I’ve managed to acquire, but haven’t used in years. Curse that “But I could make something out of this” thought pattern.

Best wishes to you and your family in this lovely season of lights!

Love the quilt and the panto – I’ve been wanting to try some ombre fabrics, they look fabulous! Thanks, too, for showing a close up of your beautiful quilting; I have a “mid-arm” that I am no longer terrified of and I’d like to try something other than free motion loops, you always give me lots of ideas!

Mary, love your mum’s quilt and that panto is perfect for it. I see you using minki backing – do you do anything special with it? eg – use flanellette as a filler between it and the lining, or light polyester backing? I was also interested in the curly panto used on your mum’s Christmas applique quilt. No need for a personal reply, perhaps an edit on the post or a comment on this reply. Many thanks in anticipation. Happy Christmas to you all and all the best for 2018.
