Simple Quilts

A discussion on the Stashbuster list of YBR and Turning Twenty quilts led me to browse through my quilt pictures looking for a few of the simple patterns I use for charity quilts. I buy one yard cuts of novelty fabrics and use coordinating fabrics from my stash. I also piece backs from stash for these quilts. All of these quilts turn out really cute and are quick to make.

  1. Thanks for the ideas! I need to break out of my shell with the patterns I’ve been using for my charity blankets. Those are all good ideas and beautiful matching of colors!

  2. You know I like that Simple Twisted Block one. Well I like all of them but this one really struck me. I have a bunch of Laurel Birch Christmas FQs (mostly cats) that I’ve been wanting to do something with. This would be great cause the big pieces in the center of the blocks will show off my fabrics. Then I can use the assorted blenders for the twisted parts.

  3. LOL! You know I just noticed that you have one maverick block twisting the opposite direction. Love that little bit of whimsy.
