Still awake

To keep myself awake, I started quilting the dragonfly quilt. I debated for 1/2 a second not doing an overall design and quilting each block separately but since I needed to practice my Wonky Feathers again, that’s what I went with.

Believe it or not, this is the first time I’ve used one of my variegated threads on this machine. The thread broke on me a couple times but once I turned the needle a little more to the right it’s been running fine.

  1. It’s looking great! I have my needle canted to the right too..just works better. That kind of quilting is such fun…I’m doing SID at the moment..neccessary but BORING!

  2. I think your quilting looks great despite of no sleep (?)I have look at your marvellous scrap quilts and I am impressed! I took a dive into my own scraps and decide to do something about them too. So inspired by you I have sewed strips (bindings) together. When it will turn out to be a complete quilt – well time will tell. But thank you for the inspiration and for showing us how it can be done!
