Shopping for Mom

I did some online fabric shopping for Mom last week but couldn’t find a group of fabrics for a third quilt she wanted to make so I decided to check out JoAnn’s. The closest one is about 20 minutes away and I’ve only gone twice since we moved here 3 years ago. It’s not easy to get to so I decided to check out the next closest one –  a couple miles further away but much, much easier to drive to.

I found some fabrics that will work for Mom.

And while I was there I picked up a couple prints for Quick Strippies … I think I’m going to piece one or maybe two of them next week – maybe using these or maybe using other novelty prints I’ve collected.

  1. Great fabric choices. Have you looked at Quilted Twins? They have an on line blog and sell fabric for an unbelievably good price. All very high quality fabric. They are located in Dade City and are open for in shop shopping on Thursday afternoon only. If you buy on line, they charge $5.00 flst shipping, no matter how much you buy.

  2. The tee shirts quilts you made are really nice. I used the idea you had previously to make a block in one I made. Yours (or your mom’s) had geese in it. I used pinwheels. I have another one to make using a friend’s shirts for his grandchildren. I love the attic window setting!

  3. I just used that dinosaur fabric for my sister-in-law’s two nephews! I matched the fabric with red and with blue!
