The Hourglass quilt is bound. It’s an easy quilt to piece using the Accuquilt quarter square triangle die – my blocks finish at 4 inches but they have other die sizes too. Did you know that a flying geese is made from a quarter square triangle? I have a 3×6 inch geese die that would make a 6 inch finished hourglass block that I might try one of these days.

This is my 13th UFO finish for the year, the top was pieced in 2016, the border was added last week and now it’s done! The finished quilts are piling up again, I need to get some washed and donated.

The colors in the quilt just “sing,” and I love it.
Giving away and donating quilts is so fulfilling, but I would hate to have someone receive one of yours at the same time another person received one of mine. I continue to work to improve so maybe someday, but you keep me trying.
What a perfect quilt this is! The colours look so fresh and “clean”. It is a beautiful quilt to use on a chilly summer eve watching tv.
