Done

Even with the points cut off on the edges, I still love this spool quilt. It’s UFO number 14 for the year so I’m making some progress.

There are brief instructions for this quilt on my website along with a photo from eBay of the original vintage quilt that inspired it.

Another top is on the longarm and already partially quilted so that’s even more progress made. I don’t expect to get any sewing done next week or the week after due to a lot of appointments next week and the isolation period following my radioactive iodine treatment scheduled for Sept 6 so we’ll see how much I can get done in the next couple days.

  1. Beautiful quilt! he colors are soft and comforting. Wishing you smooth going during your procedures next week!!

  2. That is a wonderful quilt! Didn’t notice the points. RE: your medical situation. Jo Kramer, quilter, of Jo’s Country Junction blog went through that about a year ago and documented her experiences. You may find it interesting. Wishing you all the best.

  3. Love it! Those colors are so pretty together. I would be tempted to keep it if I were you.
Good luck on the medical issues coming up.

  4. Love your quilt. You even make Florida look lovely….and I know how hot it can be there having grown up in Lakeland. Hope all goes well with your procedure.

  5. Beautiful quilt, I may try that next, yes, after I finish all my UFO’s. All our prayers on your upcoming treatment. Nina

  6. Mary, I have gone thru the radioactive iodine procedure – many years ago. the hardest part was not contamination anything. I used paper and plastic utensils for me as to not contaminate anything for DG. It will go fine.
