I do very little appliqué but Mom does quite a bit and all her work is beautiful. She loves making kids quilts and has lots of great-grandchildren to gift them to so when Martingale had their last warehouse sale, I bought the Animal Parade book for her. She’s finished the Frog top and is in the process of quilting it but I thought I’d share it with you since it turned out so cute. She has plans to do at least two others in that book.

I do appliqué – both hand and machine and I love it. I also love Elizabeth Hartman pieced animals, Lorna’s animal at Sew Fresh Quilts and Made by Marney paper piecing – lots of great animals out there and many ways to accomplish. (My Percy is the Labradoodle model for her!). Love your mom’s quilt!

Such a cute quilt!!! Does she generally do fusible and machine appliqué? I do a little of both but nothing like your mother’s work!!
