Hi Mary! I have to share this story about the rail block. In August 2017, I made a huge quilt for my nephew in three shades of blue. It used a similar block and I pondered the layout for days. When I look at this pattern, I see pinwheels. Which pinwheels should be in the first row – the darkest blue or the lightest blue? It turns out the are all in the first row, depending on which setting you use. So, you can’t assume that someone know this information already. It may just strike them and they’ll have an ah-ha moment when looking at something a different way. I agree with Pat – this is one of my favorite settings! Happy Wednesday to you! ~smile~ Roseanne
